Join the DBTC family

Family, friends and Mbaduku community members can sign up for a free welcome gift of DBTC worth $20. There’s nothing to pay and no deposit. The Admin reviews each sign-up personally and sends the gift from the community wallet. 20% ($4) arrives unlocked and is yours from day one; the other 80% ($16) is held for you in the public DBTC Gifts wallet for 6 months, then sent to you. Joining is by invitation only, and your inviter is checked during review.

How it works

Four simple steps

  1. Sign up

Fill in the form below with your details, who invited you, and your Solana wallet address. Joining is by invitation only.

  2. Admin reviews

Every sign-up is checked by hand, including your inviter. You’ll hear back by email.

  3. Gift sent to your wallet

Once approved, $20 worth of DBTC is sent: $4 (20%) unlocked to your wallet, yours to keep, hold or sell, and $16 (80%) held for you in the public DBTC Gifts wallet.

  4. The rest after 6 months

The held 80% is sent to your wallet after 6 months, as long as you still hold your unlocked 20% until then.

Already a member? Invite family and friends with your own invite link: you receive $5 worth of DBTC ($1 sent on day one + $4 held for 6 months) for each person you personally invite who is approved and has received their welcome gift, up to 5 a month, plus one-time ladder bonuses of $10, $20 and $50 at 5, 10 and 25 approved invites (at most $80). Nobody earns from invites made by others. Details on invite rewards. See also Earn DBTC, What DBTC is for and the Community Fund.

How the gift is released

The 20% / 80% rule

Day one: 20%

$4 of your $20 gift arrives unlocked in your wallet. It’s yours to keep, hold or sell, whenever you like.

If you sell early

If you sell or transfer away your unlocked 20% before the 6 months are up, your held 80% is burned instead of being sent to you. Your unlocked 20% stays yours either way.

Who holds it, honestly: the held part is kept by the Admin in the DBTC Gifts wallet (opens in a new tab). It is not locked in an on-chain smart contract (the vesting tool tested doesn’t support DBTC’s transfer fee). What keeps it accountable is transparency: the wallet is public on Solscan, and every held gift, release and burn is listed in the public gift log and burn log.

What burning means: burned tokens are sent to a permanent burn and removed from DBTC’s total supply, so nobody can ever use them, including the Admin. Every burn is listed in the public burn log.

Why this rule: the gift is a welcome into the community, not a quick payout. Holding your first 20% for 6 months is a simple way of showing you’re taking part.

To be fair to you: moving DBTC to another wallet, even your own, counts as a transfer. If you need to change wallet or want to use DBTC at a member business before then, tell the Admin first so it isn’t mistaken for a sale.

FAQ

Questions

What is DBTC?

DBTC (Duku Bitcoin) is a community token on Solana, named in honour of Duku, made for family and friends. Token address: 6vi1qc1fYu1s9kNQCERn6hRnnmKPRWhLaHCvgtboBF2m

How do I get invited?

Ask a current DBTC member or the Admin.

Can I buy DBTC instead?

You don’t need to buy anything to join; the welcome gift is free. If you do want to buy DBTC yourself, read the plain step-by-step guide on How to buy DBTC first. It covers the 3% transfer fee, checking the real token address, staying safe from scams, and the risks: DBTC is a community token, its price can fall and it may be hard to sell.

Can I invite others?

Yes. Once you’re approved, the Admin gives you a personal invite link (your code is your first name plus an initial). When someone you personally invited is approved and has received their own welcome gift, you receive $5 worth of DBTC: $1 sent on day one + $4 held for 6 months. That’s up to 5 rewarded invites a month (at most $25), plus one-time ladder bonuses and titles of $10, $20 and $50 at 5, 10 and 25 approved invites (at most $80 in total, ever). Rewards are only for people you personally invite; nobody earns from invites made by others further down. The Admin checks that names, emails and wallets are all different, so self-invites and duplicates earn nothing, and may refuse suspicious invites. Rewards come from the Admin’s gift budget, are limited, and may change or end. See invite rewards.

What is the Founding family badge?

Members invited directly by the Admin among the first 50 welcome gifts receive the Founding family badge on the honor list. It’s recognition only, as a thank-you for being here at the start.

What can I do with DBTC?

See What DBTC is for for community uses, and the Community Fund & transparency page for the public gift log and where fee income goes.

Do I need to pay anything?

No. The welcome gift is free. There’s no deposit, no fee and no money taken from you. Nobody from this program will ever ask you to send money or your secret recovery phrase.

Why is most of the gift held back?

20% of the gift ($4) is yours from day one. The other 80% ($16) is held for you by the Admin in the public DBTC Gifts wallet (opens in a new tab) for 6 months, so the gift stays with the community rather than being sold straight away. It is not locked in a smart contract; instead every held gift is recorded in the public gift log with your initials and release date, so anyone can check it. After 6 months it is sent to your wallet and is fully yours.

What happens if I sell early?

You can sell your unlocked 20% at any time; it’s yours. But if you sell or transfer it away before the 6 months are up, your held 80% is burned instead of being sent to you: the tokens are removed from DBTC’s total supply for good and nobody gets them. Each burn is recorded in the public burn log. If you need to change wallet, ask the Admin first.

What is a Solana wallet?

A Solana wallet is an app that holds tokens on the Solana network. It gives you a public address you can share to receive tokens. A popular choice is Phantom (opens in a new tab). Only ever share the public address, never your secret recovery phrase.

How is my data used?

Your details are used only to review sign-ups and are never sold. They go to the site owner via Netlify Forms.
